SCBWI Singapore

Dear Singapore SCBWIies 🙂

A warm welcome to our newest members, Hidayah, Mohammad, Michelle and Kim!

Our next meeting will be next Wednesday August 12th at 7pm at Relish, on the first floor of Cluny Court, opposite the Botanic Gardens MRT.

For those of you who have not attended a meeting before, we are all very friendly and generally get together over dinner and/or a drink and talk about writing, illustrating and publishing books for children.

The topic of discussion next Wednesday will be The Different Genres of Children's Literature,  from picture books to mid-grade to YA (we were meant to discuss this last month but not many people could attend due to summer holidays so we thought we would repeat it).

Also, dont forget to bring along your portfolios, published books or other works-in-progress so we can have a show 'n tell session.

Upcoming SCBWI Singapore Events
We have several events planned over the next few months including a Sketch n Scribble outing and another evening meeting looking at The Ins and Outs of Self-Publishing
And planning has begun for our much anticipated Singapore SCBWI Christmas Dinner. More details will be provided soon but in the mean time please save the date.
